Coree Pohang, a provider of digital healthcare solutions, recently announced that its remote medical service for Koreans living abroad, known as DX24, has obtained temporary authorization from the 1st Industry Convergence Regulatory Special Deliberation Committee this year. The Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy presented Coree Pohang with the original copy of the temporary permit on the 25th.
DX24 is an online platform designed to connect overseas residents with domestic medical institutions. It enables remote medical consultations and prescription issuance through audio and video calls. Additionally, the platform offers local medical information, including details about hospitals and general medications, based on the individual’s medical assessment.
In November of last year, Coree Pohang entered into a service agreement with Myongji Medical Foundation. By leveraging the expertise of medical professionals from Myongji Medical Foundation in paediatrics, internal medicine, and endocrinology, Coree Pohang aims to cater to the healthcare needs of overseas patients. Furthermore, the company plans to enhance its remote medical services by establishing connections with Coree’s global infrastructure in countries such as the United States, Italy, and China.
Yoo Geon-sang, CEO of Coree Pohang, expressed his vision, stating, “Through this temporary permission, we will establish the groundwork for the development of remote medical treatment services and enable overseas patients to access advanced medical care in Korea.”
Meanwhile, Coree is solidifying its position as a digital healthcare enterprise by providing the How to Care App for wound management and developing a pregnancy healthcare app. Furthermore, the company secured a site of approximately 50,000 square meters in the Pohang Convergence Technology Industrial Zone last year. This location will serve as the KHUB Science Park, a research and production hub for pharmaceuticals and diagnostic medical devices, including vaccines and immune-anticancer treatments.
